Introduction
Paso Robles is a large winegrowing area at the southern end of California’s Central Coast region. At 666,500 acres the official Paso Robles AVA is among California’s very largest; it effectively covers the northern half of San Luis Obispo County. It is well known for its heritage varietal Zinfandel and Rhône-style wines. Viticulture here dates back to the late 18th Century, when the first wine grapes (most likely of the Mission variety) were planted by Spanish missionaries. The Paso Robles AVA is still acknowledged for its heritage grape, Zinfandel, but has gained recognition from a wider range of grape varietals as well. In the 1950s and 1960s, growers began to plant Bordeaux varieties, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, in the area. Starting in the 1980s, there have been increased plantings of many Rhône varieties, including the first Syrah planted in California, as well as Viognier and Roussanne to name a few. Since 1990, when there were fewer than 20 wineries in Paso Robles, a large expansion of activity has seen the number rise to more than 200 wineries today.

Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc 2013

Wine Spectator -
“Lively and refreshing, with a bright mix of melon, peach, pear and honeysuckle notes, featuring a supple texture and mouthwatering finish. Pretty aromatic details of fenugreek and aniseed linger. Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne.” Score : 91 Points

Sextant Wheelhouse Zinfandel 2014

Wine Enthusiast -
“Black-cherry fruit is decorated with crushed thyme, dried sage, roasted meat and cinnamon on the nose of this bottling. The palate offers more cherry fruit but also a bit of black-plum-skin tartness, as well as decent amounts of asphalt and turned earth.” Score: 90 Points

Siot Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Deep purple black with fruit aromas of black currants and blackberry jam, with floral notes of violet and lavender. Subtle notes of clove, black olive and green peppercorn combine with grippy tannins, while a fleshy mid-palate and balanced acidity segue to a lingering fruit-driven finish.

McPrice Myers Right Hand Man Syrah 2014
Right Hand Man is a blend of Syrah from vineyards situated on the West Side of Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. Black cherry, black raspberry, cocoa powder, graphite, grilled herbs, spring flowers, fall spices and loganberry preserves are followed by a generous lingering finish with soft sweet tannins. It is easy drinking and approachable.

Rotta Winery Paso Blend 2013
This 2013 Red blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah. which has incredible structure – with big tannins, bold fruit and a touch of toasted oak on the finish, the mouthwatering acidity ensure that it pairs quite nicely with anything from grilled rib-eye, to weeknight pasta dishes.

Tobin James James Gang Rserve Riesling 2011
Juicy, gently sweet and expansive, offering intense raspberry and cherry compote flavors that are reined in by a hint of tangy acidity. Finishes smooth and broad, with resonating red fruit and floral notes and good cling. Let this long lingering kiwi finish touch your lips.
