Introduction

Granham Beck Game Reserve Chenin Blanc 2013 – Delightful aromas of sweet juicy melon, pear drop and fragrant grapefruit. On the palate expect rich rewarding flavors of ripe tropical fruit and luscious citrus. Aromatic, fruity and well rounded – an elegant wine with a soft silky texture and vibrant, fresh finish.

Eagle Eye Infatuation 2008- The 2008 vintage is a exceptional rich, juicy, medium bodied blend. AlphaWOLF Vineyards has the perfect climate for delivering great structure with forward fruit, soft tannins and dark ripe berries on the finish. It was aged in small French oak barrels just long enough to round out the flavors without overwhelming the fruit.

Justin Justification 2013 – Aromatic with ripe red cherry, blackcurrant and just-ripe blackberry, with rich vanilla and cinnamon spice and an attractive savory and herbal character that cabernet franc classically brings to this blend. Palate: Full and complex with an elegant mix of ripe red fruit, primarily cherry with cassis and a little plum, and rich baking spice on the entry. A little dusty, savory cabernet franc charm emerges on the mid-palate along with subtle mint and eucalyptus notes leading to a long, clean finish. Returning cherry and currant fruit surrounded by firm tannins that give length and depth to this, perfectly balanced blend. Food Pairing: On the more elegant side of the Bordeaux sprectrum, the 2013 Justification shows well with a wide range of pairings from five spice duck, a duck confit or a classic entrecote bordelaise with pomme fritte.

Dancing Lady Zinfandel 2011 – This 2011 vintage has blueberry/blackberry components and some bright raspberry spiciness. This vintage is exceptionally floral. It has classic flavors of black cherry, clove, and fresh rose petals. The palate’s nature is silky texture. Very jammy, this Zinfandel is complimented by flavors of vanilla and cranberries. The wine has well balanced acidity, and an extremely long finish. Cherries and raspberry flavors last for a while.

Ridge Lytton Petite Sirah 2013 – The 2013 Petite Sirah Lytton Estate is oddly enough quite civilized and even a touch tame by Petite standards. There is plenty of inky blue/black-fleshed fruit but the tannins are surprisingly soft. Game, smoke and a hint of tobacco add nuance through the mid-palate and finish. The 2013 is a beautiful wine, but readers expecting a full-on Petite experience might be slightly disappointed, as this is an especially tamed Petite with varietal character that has largely been subdued.

Heitz Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 – The incomparable Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet is internationally acclaimed for its distinctive flavor and quality. Pure and concentrated, the Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon shares the unique beauty of its Napa Valley terroir with its lush varietal aroma. This is a well-integrated wine with a generous core of dark, rich fruit lightly embraced with mint. Layers of black cherry flavor unfold gracefully across the palate, building to a long, lovely finish. Whether you choose to drink it today or cellar it for years to come, this is an unforgettable wine from a fabulous vintage!

Errazuriz Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve 2007 – Viña Errázuriz has been producing the highest quality Chilean wines for more than 130 years in a land of soaring Andes Mountains. Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley. Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano’s descendant. Dedicated to producing estate grown wines of superior quality, Errázuriz has built a reputation as the “Best of Chile”. Errazuriz Don maximiano Founder’s reserve is the flagship wine of Viña Errázuriz. It hasIntense, deep, ruby-red in color with a bright purplish hue. The nose recalls cherries, cassis, truffles, and blueberries over a backdrop of black pepper and subtle notes of chocolate and cedar. The palate shows firm, ripe tannins that ensure excellent longevity in the bottle. This is a voluptuous wine full of ripe fruit flavors, notes of cedar, cloves, and cinnamon, with excellent acidity that lends freshness, balance, and elegance. The long and very elegant finish shows the wine’s youth today and will gain in complexity with time in the bottle.

Far Niente Chardonnay 2012 – The 2012 Far Niente Chardonnay presents fresh and bright aromatics of tropical fruit, melon and hints of fig. This vintage is beautifully balanced by lightly toasted oak. A silky entry develops into a smooth and rich midpalate. Deep flavors of toasted nuts support the bursting flavor of melon and light citrus accompanied by a long and mouth-filling finish.

Robert Foley Griffin 2014 – Robert Foley is an iconic winemaker whose roots run deeper than most vineyards in Napa. He’s built numerous wineries including Markham, Pride and his own Robert Foley Vineyards located at Napa County’s Howell Mountain. Bob is reputed for producing very expressive wines that finish gracefully. The Griffin – on the Foley family crest in Irish heraldry combines the strengths of the lion, king of beasts, with the eagle, king of the skies. A winemaker’s dream is to be artistically free to combine characters into wine that is purely hedonic and non-compliant with varietal regulations, so The Griffin’s blend changes with every vintage. Bottled in Spring of 2016, this vibrantly youthful red blend offers aro- mas of red and black berry fruit, rose petals and just a touch of vanilla. The full body is framed by gently gripping fine tannins and a flood of berry fruit. More than half of this blend are classic claret varieties (Cabernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot), which marry with Rhone-rooted varieties (Syrah, Petite Sirah, Charbono). Delicious in its youth, this red blend combines the stuffing and balance to age elegantly for many years.

Caymus Special Selection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – Caymus Vineyards remains 100% family-owned by the Wagners. Charlie, Lorna Belle, and Chuck worked together as a remarkable team for over 30 years building Caymus Cabernet. 2013 Vintage of Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is consistently one of California’s best Cabs. A rich, dense ruby color, hints at the dark fruit nose of blackberry and currant that carries through to the palate, interwoven with complex aromas of black licorice, anise and crème de cassis. On the palate, the wine opens up to reveal an earthiness, with brown spice, cigar box and ripe dark fruits that linger throughout the extracted and long finish. The texture is opulent and rich, yet has a velvety quality with supple density. Rich, fine-grained tannins are balanced with ripe fruit, acidity and oak.

Cakebread Dancing Bear Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – With 40 harvests and the second generation of winemaking Cakebreads family winery has become one of the most successful and respected wineries in America, renowned for its world-class vineyards, wines, and hospitality.
Wine Advocate
“The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch (a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot aged 22 months in about 50% new French oak) has a dense purple color, wonderfully sweet cassis fruit and blackberries, with a touch of mulberry, forest floor and underbrush. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and super-pure, this beauty is young, but accessible, yet I don’t see it hitting its prime for another 7-8 years. This is a 30+ year wine that should provide compelling drinking when fully mature.”
