Introduction

Freemark Abbey Viongier 2013
The wine is a fresh greenish straw color. The aromas are lively with lemon-lime, white peach, grapefruit, peach blossom, and honeysuckle flower. With a soft and voluptuous body and texture, this Viognier is seductively pleasant with juicy fruit and white peach flavors. The distinctive floral fruit and lingering long finish underscore the versatility of this variety.

Bianchi Zen Ranch Zinfandel 2012
Blended with Zinfandel’s kissin’ cousin Primitivo for its kiss of darker color and tannin structure for even greater yumminess – part of this blend is head-trained unirrigated Zinfandel Deaver clone adding its deeper berry towards prune flavors. The better part of 2 years barrel-aging has allowed for spicy-vanilla/clove nuance additions and marriage with the rampant cherry/raspberry/cinnamon flavors. All those many layers of subtle flavors just keep on a-comin’.

75 Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
2014 is quickly becoming one the most lauded and anticipated vintages ever to come out of California and this wine is an example of the great wines produced during this spectacular vintage. This exceptionally rich yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignon expresses wonderful dense aromas of ripe burnt early season cherries and scorched earth. The palate showcases classic notes of sweet black cherry, cassis and black raspberry. Tannins are beautifully integrated into this multidimensional, full-bodied yet wonderfully balanced wine. Finish is exceptional and lingering. This wine can certainly be enjoyed now but will only get better with age.

Shatter Grenache 2014
Aromas of toasted French oak and brioche mingle with fresh cut strawberry and candied cherries. The entry of the wine is rich and mouth coating offering a mélange of kirsch and dark stone fruits. The mid-palate brims with layered blackberry and savory essence of ripe pomegranate lending into a soft and lingering finish with just a touch of bright acidity.

d’Arry’s Shiraz Grenache 2010
Wine Advocate -
‘Medium garnet in color, the 2010 d’Arry’s Original Shiraz Grenache fills the glass with aromas of blackberry preserves, kirsch and dried mulberries highlighted by nuances of baking spices, damp earth and white pepper. Medium-bodied with a good amount of expressive red and black fruit flavors complemented by earth and spice hints, it has just enough rounded tannins and lively acid to finish with good length.’

Orin Swift D66 Grenache 2014 (New Release)

Wine Advocate -
‘A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and a splash of Carignan, the 2014 Cotes Catalanes Grenache D66 IGP spent ten months in roughly 30% new barrels. This inky colored, downright sexy 2014 offers terrific notes of blueberries, blackberries, violets and chalky minerality. Big, concentrated and textured, yet still playing in the more elegant style of the 2014 vintage, this beauty will drink well for a decade.’
