Introduction:

99 West Pinot Gris 2015, Willamette, Oregon
The valley is known for its Pinots – Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. With a climate similar to Burgundy – in rainfall, sunlight hours and other climate factors – Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris have flourished there. Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in Oregon produce wines that are fruit forward, yet complex, some with good agebility. An ideal white wine from the Willamette Valley for sipping. Full of aromas of ripe citrus and peach flavors yet finishes dry on the palate. The texture is classic Pinot Gris: rich and round.

Heitz Napa Chardonnay 2015, Napa
This is Chardonnay personified – all of the incredible potential of the varietal.Elegantly assertive aromas of honeysuckle, white peach and lemon zest hint at the clean, refreshing nature of the palate. With just a touch of sweetness from French oak barrels, a well-balanced acidity and a slight creaminess, this Chardonnay is stunning. Enjoy the long, lingering finish – this is one glass of Chardonnay you won’t want to put down.

B.R. Cohm Pinot Noir Sonoma County 2011
This 2011 Reserve wines showcase those rare lots discovered in the vineyard or developed in the cellar that receive the highest level of care and emerge as the best of the vintage. This wine hails from a historical vintage and does not disappoint, displaying great fruit integration, inviting aromas and rewarding flavors. Deeply hued garnet and delightful aromas of black cherry and rose petals persuade one to sip earnestly. Once on the tongue, silky and inviting flavors envelop the palate, with a friendly, long, postured finish.

Westerly Happy Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
Located in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country, the wines from Westerly begin in the vineyards of small family-owned growers. Westerly is focused on two distinct and separate sub AVA’s within Santa Barbara County: Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara and Sta. Rita Hills. The first being a warm region producing bold Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, and Petit Verdot while the latter showcases the nuances of the cooler climate varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, is classically styled, with currant, plum, cassis, and graphite notes on the palate. The nose shows herbal and cedar notes. This is a wine of substantial breadth, with mouth-coating finely-grained tannins. Structured and balanced, this wine will drink at its peak from 2014-2019.

Mettler Family Pitete Sirah 2012, Lodi
The Mettler 2012 Petite Sirah exudes richness and complexity from the first sip. True to its varietal heritage, the color is dark and inky, hinting at the opulence to come. Pleasing aromas of red licorice, sweet berry and mocha are balanced by traces of mineral and earth. As it unfolds, the wine offers a beautiful swirl of juicy black currant and blueberry flavors with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and spice, reminiscent of a luscious berry cobbler. The tannins are big and supple tempered by vibrant acidity and the pure, concentrated flavors linger through the finish.
