Made by the venerable Bennet Lane winery using the same grapes that makes up their $35-$50 bottles, this Cabernet opens with intnese black fruit, bright cherry, & minerals. Background notes of cedar, sage and violets add to the complexity of the wine. On the palate the wine has good weight, with flavors of dark cherry, cocoa, and plums. The tannins are velverty and approachable, leading to a long elegant, fruit driven finish.
